HIIT Training - Term 2 First Training


Today's HIIT session went very well because we were all synchronised with the amazing leaders Tiava and Mataio and most of us achieved our goal which was getting our heart rates into the red. To achieve this goal we did star jumps, tap steps, and high knees. These are relatively easy in comparison to the other exercises that we did in term 2. What made our heart rates sky rocket was the fact that it felt like we did more than three of the sets and that the paste that was set by Tiava and Mataio was very fast. What helped us become synchronised with each other was that we were all in lines and the energy in the room motivated all of us to carry on and strive for excellence. We all enjoyed this session and Mrs Anderson has said that it was the best by far and looking at the results I think we all agree.

HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training


As we are partaking in a study, we have been doing a circuit of different exercise and the one thing they all have in common is that they all help improve one essential thing that will help you have a great workout session. This week we will be focusing on the core muscle and our strength by doing three sets of squats, pull ups, and push ups. These are physically challenging but I enjoyed it because it boosted my sense of focus and determination to strive for excellence. We were in a group of six doing this orientation and our partners were there helping us improve our techniques and were there supporting us when we felt like giving up..

In inquiry we have been learning about the different body systems and this experiment provided evidence to support our learning of how our body systems help us in everyday life.
