Beached Whales - Winter Learning Journey

Recently Whales have been stranded on Farewell Spit in Golden Bay. The community found out and started keeping the whales wet. They used many things and this whale stranding has been one of the biggest ones in New Zealand history. The community did :

  • Keeping the whales wet
  • Covering them with towels/cloths etc

Thanks to the community who helped.

  1. Hello Jeremiah, It's amazing when people in the local community helped the whales with giving them towels and cloths. I think the people should be happy of themselves. Keep the stunning work Jeremiah!!!

  5. Hi Jeremiah,

I love that you made a comment to the people that helped - it is so admirable that people would give up their time and effort for something that can't give back to them! Do you think you would get involved in helping?
