How to make an eye on Tinkerkad by using cylinders

At tech we have created n eye on Tinkercad. We used only one shape to build our eyes. The shape was a cylinder. Tinkercad is a very useful tool because it allows you to rotate shapes, group shapes and align shapes. We had to use the aligning, grouping, and rotating tools to make our eye.

Kiwisport- Futsal and Tennis

We were lucky enough to go down to Riverside sports to play tennis and futsal. We have been learning about futsal for quite a long time but we have never played tennis. Neville was our instructor for tennis. He is very experienced because he has been teaching in America. We learnt two easy words. "Hit and bounce" In Futsal we just had a full on game. Sadly my group didn't win a game but we did pretty good. And a big thank you to Martin and Neville.

Photo Story

These photos are some of the thousands we took on camp. These are the photos of my activity group participating in the activities that were provided at camp. My favourite activity was archery. I really enjoyed camp except for when I was feeling sick.

The Adventure of the Bowmen

This is a snapshot of five minutes of my favourite activity of camp. I wrote about archery which is very interesting because it has a unique history. Our instructor was a very cool and interesting person. He even threw some funny moments in our period of archery.

Feedback

We have been reading a story called Water Worries which is about how countries are dealing with water shortages and how to save water. It also explains what causes the problems, the water cycle and what our future with water might look like. So me and my buddy were Discussing what we think. she is a very hard working student and she will elaborate if needed.

People Living in Auckland Have Been Asked to Conserve Water. Why?

This DLO is about the water problems Auckland has been facing this month. We have put in links to articles so if you guys are interested you can explore why we are having these problems Stuff News,News hub,and Auckland Council . There have been floods which was one reason why we have these issues with our water. I used some of my old learning to help me create a more better and more informed DLO. I used my water testing knowledge,Omaru river DLO,and what is a river learning. They have asked Auckland to cut down to 20 litres of water per person and per day. This link will show you some useful tips on how to save water. We have been enquiring about this subject because we live in Auckland which has an affect on us and that Hunua falls is where we are going for camp.

5 Things Before going Into the N.Z. Bush.

These 5 things will help you be safe and enjoy New Zealand's bush. New Zealand's bush is a vast area of animal life and wonder but that can effect your experience if you do not follow this outdoor guidance. These photo's were created by me and my friend and classmate Josh.

Map- Waitakere ranges, Kokako, papakura pools and P.B.S.

This year we are going camping at Hunua falls which is one of Auckland's water storage. Today we marked five places which is school the Kokako lodge, my house, Papakura pools, and the Waitakere ranges. We put our school on the map because it's our starting point for camp, Kokako lodge is where we are sleeping, the pools because that is our stop after camp, my home I don't know why and the Waitakere ranges because it is one of Auckland's water storage. Also lately we have been asked to conserve water due to bad weather.

Design and graphics- Tinker Cad

With Miss Ferguson we have been exploring Tinker Cad. On Tinker Cad we were creating 3-d shapes, like rectangles. We called this name tag because, obviously because my name is in the two rectangles. We also were lucky enough to turn on the laser cutter. I found it quite interesting. When Miss Ferguson turned it on, she was running around like a headless chicken because it is very hard to work.

Omaru River

For inquiry today me and my partner Josh have created a DLO on the positive and negative things people are doing to the Omaru river. Our information resources were articles from last year and I have been looking on other articles and other peoples DLO.

Transum- HCF and LCM

For maths one of our activities was finding a new game. The new game I found is called HCF and LCM. This game really helped me with my highest common factors. This game was more fun than the game Ms Kirkpatrick gave us.

Fruit Splat- Greatest Common factor

For our maths follow up activity we played a game called Fruit Splat. I found it a bit difficult because I have never played it before. I did not get the aim of the game. It is very helpful to me because it helps me with my maths skills.
