Lord Ernest Rutherford - Winter learning Journey

Activity 2 of 'One Step At A Time' is to pick a famous New Zealander. I have chosen Ernest Rutherford who is known as the father of nuclear physics. He was the first person to split an atom. He also was the first person from Oceania to win the Nobel Peace Prize. I chose him because he is one of the 'molders' of the nuclear weapons. He can be found on the New Zealand $100 note.

You have some really good facts about Lord Rutherford. I didn't know that he was born in Bright water, Nelson. I like the picture you have chosen of Lord Rutherford. Keep up the stunning work!

  2. Hi Jeremiah. The facts you have provided are really interesting. I like how you have added images. You have one spelling error, other than that you did great. My question is, was Lord Ernest Rutherford the first person to split an atom? Keep up the great work.
