Venn Diagram - Comparison Between P.B.S. & Winter Olympics

Panmure Bridge School and the Winter Olympics have many things in common such as our values and that we strive to be the best in our selves. We also have many differences such as our motto and logo. Panmure Bridge School's logo has only two colours, grey and red. Winter Olympics is multi coloured and shares the same logo as the Summer Olympics. This is a comparison between our school and the Winter Olympics.

Inquiry - Winter Olympics

For inquiry we are focusing on the Winter Olympics. Already we have covered the mascot comparison, learning about the history of the games and the comparison between the Winter and Summer Olympics. Above is a comparison between our school and the Winter Olympics. Our school and the Winter Olympics have much in common but not that many difference in wording.

Comparison Between Soohorang and Snow Leopard

This year the Winter Olympics is being held in pyeongchang, South Korea. For this activity we had to choose a former mascot and compare them to the current mascot which is Soohorang. The mascot we chose to compare with Soohorang is one of the three 2014 Sochi Olympic mascots. His name is Snow Leopard. He has a very interesting background. He was chosen because of Putin's (Who is the Russian President) concerns about the environment. These mascots were both interesting to learn about and they both are very distinct in a good way.

Comparison Between the 1900's and the Modern day Winter Olympics

Every Olympics are the same. They all have opening ceremonies and they all get awarded with medals. They always occur every four years. This year the Winter Olympics is being held in South Korea. Above is a DLO that shows the differences and similarities between the modern and 1900's Winter Olympics. In my opinion the most surprising difference was the numbers of countries who participated back then and how much it has increased over the years.
