The Stubborn Librarian
I wrote a story about a stubborn Librarian who plans a big attack on the new underground station. It is called The Stubborn Librarian and The Under Ground Attack. I love writing narratives because it lets my imagination go wild and it helps me with reading and writing more creative things.
Algorithm, Japanese method and Korean Method.
L.I. To teach the Japanese method and to investigate the 3 multiplication strategies.
This week I made this slide to hopefully teach you guys how to understand and love maths. These strategies are really helpful in situations when there is a hard multiplication question.

L.I. To investigate the "Japanese" method of multiplication with Mr Ogilvie
This week I learnt a new and interesting way to do maths, it is called the "Japanese" method. In this presentation you will find Japanese character and how to use the Japanese method. The thing I found difficult was circling where the lines meet the hardest because your circles have to be on each one.

Shopping-Using Algorithm/Column method
L.I.Applying our knowledge and strategy tool kit to the real world
Over this week I and my classmate have been taking photos of things in brochures our teacher provided for us. I learnt things I did not know before like trying to keep between the quota we had which was $5,000 dollars (fake) and how expensive things are.I also now enjoy using the column method/algorithm and thanks to Mr Ogilvie I have a better understanding of algorithm.
Word Web-Reading
L.I. To find the most important (main) idea in a text.
Today me and a did a word web on words we and my reading group did not know. I find these interesting because I love learning big and more sophisticated words. I also like learning the definitions so I can use them in future references. The hardest thing I found was finding antonyms.
Procedural text
L.I. To understand the role of verbs in procedural text.
For writing this week Te ika a Maui had to spot out the verbs in a video on how to make a ham and cheese sandwich. I found trying to spot the verbs out of the video sort of hard because he used words chefs would use.

Writing-Procedural writing
LI: to identify the structure and language features of a procedural writing
Today Te Ika a Maui did a bit of drawing during writing because we were learning about procedures. So Mr Wong made us follow a set of instruction to make a picture. We also read a procedural text about how to play marbles. We found the structure of a procedural text and the language features.
