Capitalisation in the correct place is vital for a Writing test because it can send you down to a level 2 level. To get us prepared for our next Writing test we have been looking at capital letters and how to use them in the correct way. For example NATO gets capital letters because it is a name of an organisation and the first letter of a new sentence always get a capital letter. Another mistake made by a lot of people is not putting a capital letter when they use 'I' in their writing like 'Lily and I went to get an ice cream.'

  1. Great to see you explaining the rule so well. I like your example for 'I'. This is a common mistake that people make.

  2. Thank you Ms Kirkpatrick for the positive feedback.
